At the young age of sixteen, Shirley LeVin presented an ambitious idea to her new husband, Arthur LeVin. After attending a home party that sold household items, she suggested that they start their own direct sales company. While considering several types of products, Shirley and Arthur quickly determined jewelry would never lose its luster with consumers. The result was Jewels by Park Lane, which has been selling the finest in fashion jewelry since 1955, via a direct sales program.
At Park Lane’s inception, Shirley LeVin traveled across the country developing the sales and recruiting areas while Arthur LeVin managed the financial aspect of the business. Together they nurtured the company into a multi-million dollar direct sales business which today is led by three of their sons, who have sixtyfive years of combined business experience. Now semi-retired, Shirley and Arthur continue to watch their pride and joy thrive.
As Park Lane grew, their personal family grew as well. All eight of their children have grown up in the business and are involved in the business at some capacity. The Sales Field, several with Park Lane for over 30 years, has adopted all eight over the years and is itself considered an extension of the immediate family.
As a result of their achievements, Shirley and Arthur no longer attain profits from Park Lane. Instead they have opted to give the profits back to the Sales Field by means of Park Lane’s generous hostess plan and customer buying plan coupled with a tremendous weekly pay plan for its Fashion Consultants.
Today, the second generation of the LeVin family owns and operates the company with the same level of commitment and dedication as the co-founders. Inspired by the success of the last fifty plus years, Jewels by Park Lane’s mission is to continue to offer people the opportunity to realize their dreams.
