Jewelry Inspired by David Yurman
David Yurman

David Yurman is a popular contemporary jewelry artist whose designs can be found in all the major upscale department stores such as Saks 5th Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
David Yurman originally studied sculpturing and came into the jewelry design business after a short artist career as sculptor. After positive reaction to an angel shaped copper belt buckle that he designed for his wife, Sybil, he created and sold additional belt buckle designs and started experimenting with wire and eventually crafted his signature design – that of a twisted cable.
Yurman creates substantial karated gold and sterling silver pieces of jewelry. Due to the amount of precious metal, never mind the gemstones, used in each piece of jewelry his creations are quite pricey. Quite a few of his recent designs have put to use the semi-precious gemstone Citrine. He has also started working with Tahitian pearls and the effect is quite awesome.
